Announcements
The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will continue normal operations in the event of a partial shutdown of the federal government commencing on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Cases calendared for oral argument during the months of February and March will proceed as scheduled. Parties remain obligated to meet all scheduled deadlines for filing and comply with the filing requirements of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and this court’s Local Rules.
Proposed miscellaneous non-substantive revisions to Circuit Rules have been posted here and circulated for public comment. Any comments are due by February 23, 2026.
